Ryuta Imafuku

Ryuta Imafuku is a professor at the Graduate School of Global Studies at Tokyo University. As an anthropologist and a cultural critic he wrote as series of books on culture, intercultural communication and the significance of the image: The Heterology of Culture (1991), Technology of the Wild (1995), Sensory Angels, Elsewhere: Toward the Corridor of Images, Mínima Gracia: History and Craving, Archipel-Monde, as well as Chikaku: Time and Memory (2006).
